Brampton calls itself Flower City with a straight face, and the logo still carries a yellow rose for the greenhouse years when Dale's nursery made Flowertown of Canada more than a slogan. Downtown still orients around Queen and Main, the four corners that City history treats as the old settlement heart. Gage Park sits a short walk away at Main and Wellington, the first municipal park and still the place for levee skates and summer gatherings.
